Kathleen Jane Wilson (née Blake), aged 79, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, in Towson, Maryland. Born on April 6, 1947, in Compton, California, Kathleen lived a life filled with love, dedication, and joy.
Kathleen devoted over three decades of her career to the City of Baltimore, where she retired as the Director of Food and Nutrition for Baltimore City Public Schools. Her work was driven by a passion for ensuring that school-aged children had access to healthy and delicious meals. Her commitment to nurturing young minds through nutrition left an enduring impact on countless lives.
For more than 50 years, Kathleen shared a beautiful partnership with her husband, Ralph Wilson. Together, they built a life centered on love and family. Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Lindsley and Robert Blake, as well as her older brother Robert.
Kathleen found immense joy in spending time with her family. She and Ralph loved taking road trips together, exploring new restaurants as well as revisiting favorite spots. Frequent visits to see their daughters and grandchildren were among her most treasured moments. Known affectionately as Mom or Yaya by those closest to her, Kathleen’s wide tooth grin and warm smile were hallmarks of her loving spirit.
